And we can thank our lucky stars for that.

:-)

There, you are the first, the FIRST, to ever receive that somewhat frail imitation of an emoticon, from me. Here's a better one, thanks to Tigerbolt:

Hmmm, my first inclination is to go with something by Barenaked Ladies, but they don't look like no ladies to me...

Stumped.

Was that "wider" or "whiter" than a mile?

Good one. And I am old enough to like that song and the movie it was featured in...BkfestTiffanys...

Likewise, I assure you! She was a beauty; somehow she made "thin" work (pardon my sexist digression--usually go for the full figured gals, if you take my meaning). And her other qualities were virtually unmatched, IMHO.

Thanks for bringing those memories back--think I have a DVD of that around here somewhere!

Just have to weigh in - she was a North Carolina native. They still do tours of her house....

And her ex-husband, Mel Ferrer, died yesterday.

I will most assuredly forgive your sexist digression for do I not digress in that self-same direction myself? You know maybe I'll tear myself away from the Grateful Dead for the evening and indulge in B at T instead. I know just where my DVD is. If you want to drop by, I'll get some Guinness in.

What an offer! That is just about as sweet an evening as I could imagine...

We'll have to keep that in mind if I can get over your way again in the next few years!

I know the song. It's entitled:
